Delete your TelPal account
Last updated: 2026-08-20
TelPal is provided by Dario Dario AB (Stockholm, Sweden). This page explains how to ask us to delete your TelPal account and the data associated with it, what gets deleted, and what we are required to keep.
1. How to request deletion
Any of these three routes closes the same account. Use whichever you still have access to.
- In the TelPal app (iOS or Android): open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm.
- On the web: sign in at telpal.ai/dashboard/account and choose Delete account.
- By email — no app or sign-in needed: write to privacy@telpal.ai from the email address on the account. Say that you want the account deleted. We may ask one question to confirm you control the address before we act.
2. What happens after you ask
Deletion is scheduled 14 days ahead and can be cancelled at any point in that window by signing in again or replying to us — closing an account by mistake should not be permanent. Your numbers keep working during the grace period. After it elapses the erasure runs automatically and cannot be undone.
3. What is deleted
- Your account and every team member on it: names, email addresses, sign-in identities and device registrations.
- Your phone numbers, which are released back to the carrier. Once released a number cannot be recovered.
- All voicemail audio, along with transcripts, translations and summaries.
- Caller details on your call history — caller numbers, caller names and everything derived from them.
- Custom greetings you recorded or generated.
- Number-eligibility documents you uploaded for regulatory checks.
- Your billing subscription, which is cancelled.
4. What is kept, and for how long
- Invoices and billing records: 7 years. Swedish bookkeeping law requires this and we cannot delete them earlier, even on request.
- Anonymous call statistics: counts and durations with every identifying field removed, so they can no longer be traced to you or to a caller.
- Backups: up to 90 days. Residual copies age out of encrypted database backups within that window; they are not used for anything in the meantime.
5. Deleting data without closing your account
You do not have to close your TelPal account to have data removed. You can delete voicemails yourself, and you can ask us to erase other personal data we hold about you.
- Delete a voicemail yourself: in the TelPal app or on the web, open Calls, select the voicemail, and choose Delete. The audio and its transcript go together, immediately.
- Ask us to erase other data: email privacy@telpal.ai from the address on your account, saying what you want removed. No app or sign-in needed.
- Nothing needed at all: voicemail audio and transcripts are deleted automatically after 90 days on Solo and 180 days on Team.
Your account, numbers and service keep working throughout. Anonymous call statistics (counts and durations, with every identifying field removed) and invoices remain — see section 4 for why.
6. If you were a caller, not a customer
If you left a voicemail for a TelPal customer and want that recording deleted, the business you called controls it — contact them first. You can also write to privacy@telpal.ai and we will pass the request on.
