Do I need a separate phone or SIM?

No. Your business number rings in your browser — and in the mobile app once it launches. Calls travel over the internet, so there's no second SIM or device to manage.

How fast can I get a number?

Picking a number is instant. For certain European numbers, EU telecom rules require business address verification before activation: a photo ID, a proof of address issued in the last 3 months in your number's area, and a company registration certificate. Most numbers go live within 1–3 business days of uploading your documents. If you want to add more numbers later, these are instant.

What happens when I can't take a call?

It goes to voicemail with your custom greeting, gets transcribed by AI, and lands in your inbox and dashboard within seconds — so you can read and listen to the message and call back when it suits you.

Are inbound calls really unlimited?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for normal business use. Inbound is unlimited within a generous fair-use limit of 5,000 minutes a month — well beyond typical use — so in practice you won't be charged per minute. Only minutes beyond that limit are billed, at a small per-minute rate €0.01/min.

Can I make outbound calls?

Not yet. TelPal is built inbound-first — answering, routing and taking messages for your business. Outbound calling and SMS aren't available for now.

Can my whole team answer calls?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Team plan includes 10 seats (expandable to 25) — ring everyone at once or one after another, and every seat gets the dashboard, call list and voicemail inbox.

Can I keep my existing number?

Accepted Answer

Not yet — number porting is on our roadmap. For now you pick a fresh number. If porting matters for your business, contact us and we'll keep you posted.

Where is my call data stored?

Accepted Answer

In the EU. We never record your calls. Voicemail audio is kept for 90 days on Solo and 180 days on Team, then deleted automatically.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Plans are monthly with no tie-in.

Which countries can I get a number in?

Accepted Answer

We currently offer US and Irish local numbers, for European based businesses — with more countries on the way. You can answer from anywhere — all you need is an internet connection.

Can I call 112, 999 or 911 from TelPal?

Accepted Answer

No. TelPal is an inbound service — the app receives calls but doesn't place calls onto the phone network, so it can't reach emergency numbers like 112, 999 or 911. In an emergency, always dial from your mobile phone's own dialler or another phone line.
