Questions about the features
No, and there is nothing to plug in. Your number rings in a browser tab on any computer and in the TelPal app on your phone. If you can open a web page, you can answer a call.
Not yet — TelPal issues you a new local number rather than porting an existing one. Number porting is not part of the current product.
Ireland and the United States today, and more are on the way. You can answer from anywhere in the world; all you need is an internet connection.
The call falls through to voicemail, and the caller hears the greeting you chose. You get the recording in your dashboard and a transcript by email, so a missed call still tells you what it was about.
For receiving business calls, yes. TelPal is inbound-only by design: it takes calls, it does not place them, and it cannot reach emergency services. You call people back from your own phone, one tap from the call in your history.
