Terms of Service

1. General

These terms apply to your use of TelPal ("the service"). By signing up for or using the service you accept these terms. The service is intended for business use.

2. The service

TelPal provides local business phone numbers and call-handling features for small businesses:

  • Provisioning and management of local (geographic) telephone numbers in supported countries, delivered over licensed carrier infrastructure.
  • Inbound call delivery to the TelPal app over the internet — your calls ring in the app, not on your personal SIM, so your mobile number stays private.
  • Voicemail with automatic transcription and AI summary, available in your dashboard, with email notifications. Live calls are never recorded.
  • Routing rules, business hours, ring groups, phone menus, and AI-generated voice greetings.

The service is inbound: the app does not place calls onto the telephone network. To return a call, the app hands the number to your phone's own dialler ("tap to call back") — that call is made from your own phone, on your own number and your operator's normal rates.

3. Emergency calls

TelPal cannot be used to call emergency services. The app does not place outbound calls, so it cannot reach 112, 999, or any other emergency number. Always use your mobile phone's own dialler or another phone line for emergency calls. You are responsible for making sure everyone who answers calls through TelPal understands this.

4. Account and number eligibility

National numbering rules require verification before a number is activated. Allocating a number requires accurate business details — name, registered business address in the number's country and area, business registration (e.g. KvK in the Netherlands, CRO in Ireland, where applicable), identity document, and recent proof of address. Documents are reviewed by us and our carrier partner; activation typically takes 1–3 business days. Some number types — including US local numbers — require no verification documents and activate immediately. US numbers are available to businesses based outside the United States and are inbound only. False or misleading information is grounds for immediate suspension and number reclamation. Numbers must be used in line with the national numbering plan of the issuing country.

5. Pricing and payment

  • Prices are shown in your market's currency at checkout.
  • Billing is monthly or annual (with the annual discount shown at checkout), handled by our payment processor. We never store card numbers.
  • Inbound calls are unlimited and never metered.
  • Add-ons (extra numbers, seats, voice generations) are billed as shown on your plan.

6. Cancellation and porting

Cancel any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Your number is yours to take with you: we support porting your number to another provider under the applicable national porting rules, and we never withhold a number to retain a customer.

7. Acceptable use

  • Business use only, and only for lawful purposes.
  • No use that generates abuse complaints, harassment, fraud, or artificially inflated traffic.
  • No reselling, sub-licensing, or transferring numbers to third parties.
  • No use of the number as a front for premium-rate or revenue-share services.
  • No attempts to circumvent eligibility verification or use a number outside its permitted area or country.
  • AI-generated greetings must not impersonate real people or mislead callers.

We may suspend service immediately for material breach, and our upstream carrier's acceptable-use obligations flow through to you.

8. Service levels

We aim for continuous availability but the service is provided "as is" — internet delivery means calls depend on your device and connection. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or lost business, nor for the inability to reach emergency services (see section 3). Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the prior 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Personal data

Processing of personal data is described in our privacy policy. For data about your callers (numbers, voicemails, transcripts) you act as data controller and we act as your processor under our data processing agreement, available at legal@telpal.ai. Our sub-processors are listed at telpal.ai/subprocessors.

11. Contracting entity and governing law

The service is provided by Dario Dario AB (org.nr. 559576-4415), Stockholm, Sweden. These terms are governed by Swedish law, without prejudice to mandatory rules that apply in your country. Questions about these terms: legal@telpal.ai.
