AI voicemail
Voicemail you can read
Listening to voicemail is a queue. Reading it is a glance. Every message that lands is transcribed automatically, so you can triage a morning of missed calls in the time it takes to hear one.
Transcribed the moment it lands
The recording is transcribed as soon as the caller hangs up, and both the audio and the text are waiting in your dashboard. You get an email too, so a missed call reaches you even when nothing is open.
- The message, as text, in seconds
- An email per voicemail, linking straight to it
- The recording is never attached to that email — it stays behind your sign-in
- Include the transcript text in the email as well, if you would rather have it there
"Hi, it's Sarah from Oakline — could you call me back about the quote on the office fit-out? Thanks."
In a language you read
A caller can leave a message in a language nobody on your team speaks and you can still act on it in the next minute. Pick a target language once and every transcript arrives translated, with the original kept beside it.
- Translate into English, Spanish, French, German, Italian or Swedish
- The original transcript is always kept, on its own tab
- Set it once for the account — there is nothing to do per message
- Or turn it off and keep only what the caller actually said
“Hi, this is Johan at Nordvik. We would like a quote for the office fit-out — could someone call me back today?”
“Hej, det här är Johan på Nordvik. Vi skulle vilja ha en offert på kontorsinredningen — kan någon ringa upp mig idag?”
So two people do not call back the same person
A voicemail is shared work. Mark one as contacted and everybody sees it, with the name of whoever handled it, so the list stays a real to-do rather than four people guessing.
- A teal dot on everything nobody has looked at yet
- Mark as contacted, attributed to the person who did it
- Answered, missed and voicemail are colour-coded the same on web and app
- Call back with one tap, straight from the message

Kept as long as it is useful, then deleted
Voicemail recordings are held for a fixed window and then removed automatically — 90 days on Solo, 180 on Team. Transcripts stay. Live calls are never recorded at all, and everything is stored in the EU.
Questions about voicemail
Good enough to act on without listening. Names and unusual words are where any transcript struggles, which is why the recording is always kept alongside the text.
No. The email links to the message in your dashboard rather than attaching the audio, so a forwarded email never carries a caller's voice with it. Including the transcript text in the email is your choice, and it is off by default.
Recordings are deleted automatically after 90 days on Solo and 180 days on Team. The transcript is kept, so you keep the record without keeping the audio.
No. TelPal never records a live conversation. The only audio that exists is what a caller chose to leave on your voicemail.
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Swedish. The original transcript is always kept as well, on its own tab.
In the EU. Recordings, transcripts and your account data are all held on EU infrastructure, and transcription is done by an EU provider.
